vFence S-500 is a laser radar intended for object detection and classification. With a high accuracy range of up to 500 meters it observes people, vehicles or other objects to analyze position, size and velocity. The laser sensor works without reflectors and detects both static and moving objects.
Alarm zones can be created freely in terms of geometry and object behavior for maximum performance while ethernet connection allows for easy system integration.
System design
The vFence S-500 can be used as a stand-alone unit or as a part of a system with several scanners connected to a server. Ethernet connection makes installation easy and allows for internet access of the unit. The system features seamless integration with regular IP cameras, network based surveillance systems and PLC systems. With a powerful embedded CPU the system can be adapted to meet even the most demanding needs.

Area surveillance

With a long range and high accuracy laser sensor in combination with fully adaptable alarm zones and alarm settings, the vFence S-500 laser scanner takes area surveillance to a new level. vFence S-500 is excellent for surveillance of large open areas such as industrial areas or water. A number of scanners can be used together for advanced object tracking and alarm verification.

Boat detection

Detect all boats entering or leaving the harbour and reduce the risk of boat and engine thefts, regardless of light conditions and weather. Embsec vFence products are designed to cope with harsh marine environments. Since the sensor works without reflectors it is possible to create virtual fences over open water.

Height alerts

|
|
|
The laser scanner vFence S-500 makes it possible to detect and track tall boats automatically to facilitate operation of moving bridges or to avoid collisions. The scanner is placed at maximum free height of the bridge where it detects all boats reaching above the height of the scanner. The system can be set to alarm based on area, object size, direction and speed.
